Our comprehensive 7-step process requires certain prerequisites before moving on to each stage. We understand that every client is at a different point in their journey, so we encourage you to review each step carefully to understand how our product development process works and what’s needed at each phase.

Step 1 | Initial Design Consultation

The first step in bringing your apparel idea to life. In this session, we discuss your vision, target market, style inspiration, and technical needs. You'll share any sketches, references, or concepts, and we’ll outline the development process, timeline, and next steps.

  • Basic concept and idea
  • Inspiration images
  • Brand information

Step 2 | Design Brief & Tech Pack Development

We translate your idea into a professional tech pack — a blueprint for your garment that includes design sketches, construction notes, fabric specs, trims, and sizing information. This document will be updated throughout the development process, ensuring accuracy at every stage, all the way to final approval and production readiness.

Prerequisite:

  • Design idea/sketches (hand-drawn or digital)
  • Fabric choices
  • Logo and branding files

Step 3 | Pattern Making

Using the tech pack, we create precise, production-ready sewing patterns tailored to your garment. These patterns ensure your design is constructed accurately and consistently.

Prerequisite:

  • Accurate measurements/size chart
  • Fabric stretch info
  • Approval of design specs

Step 4 | Sample Development & Fit Review

We sew a first prototype using your fabric to bring your design to life. Then, we conduct a fit test to evaluate garment construction, proportions, and comfort. Adjustments are made as needed.

Prerequisite:

  • Fabric and trims
  • Fit model/feedback
  • Notes on any necessary changes

Step 5 | Final Sample Approval

After all revisions, we produce a final, pre-production sample that reflects the finished product. Once approved, this sample becomes the standard for production.

Prerequisite:

  • Final sign-off on sample, fit, and design details.

Step 6 | Grading & Production-Ready Files

We grade your pattern into a full size range (e.g., XS–XL) and prepare digital files, including spec sheets and production markers, for manufacturing use.

Prerequisite:

  • Desired size range pproval of final sample.

Step 7 | Small-Batch or Full-Scale Production (Optional)

We assist with sourcing manufacturers, coordinating small or large production runs, and ensuring quality standards are met throughout the process.

Prerequisite:

  • Step 6
  • Production quantity, materials, budget, and preferred timelines
