Course Overview

Master the construction of a fully lined leather biker jacket in this private, advanced-level workshop led by Edmond Santelices, founder of ES Fashion Design Studio. Designed for experienced sewists, this intensive course guides you through working with leather to create a biker jacket tailored to your fit, using either men’s or women’s sizing blocks.

What You’ll Learn

• Leather cutting and sewing techniques
• Precision jacket construction
• Lining insertion and clean finishing
• Installing zippers, pockets, and hardware
• Custom fit adjustments
• Working with structured fabrics and leather

Required Materials

Materials may be supplied by the client or provided by the studio (subject to approval). You’ll need:

• 45–55 sq ft garment-grade leather (2–6 oz)
• 2 yards lining fabric
• 1 x 24" open-end heavy-duty zipper
• 5 x 7" closed-end heavy-duty zippers
• 1 yard interfacing
• Heavy-duty nylon or Euricore thread (suitable for leather)
• Leather adhesive
• Notions: 1 x buckle (1 3/8" to 1 3/4"), 3 x grommets (1/4" opening) and rivets.
