Intro Industrial Sewing Class: 8-Week Course | Tuesday Evenings | Time: 6 PM - 8 PM | Small Group: 2 Students | Prerequisite: Ages 18+

Course Overview: This hands-on course is designed for beginners looking to gain confidence and foundational skills in industrial sewing. Led by an industry-trained instructor, students will be introduced to professional equipment and techniques in a focused, small-group setting.

What You'll Learn:

  • Studio Safety & Equipment Orientation
    Introduction to industrial sewing machines and professional ironing tools
  • Pattern Reading & Textile Basics
    Learn to read simple patterns and understand fabric behavior
  • Technique Development
    Build your own personalized sewing sample book through weekly technique explorations
  • Final Project: Custom T-Shirt
    Cut and sew your own basic t-shirt using the skills you’ve developed
  • Material Requirements: 1.5 metres of fabric. Recommended: mid-weight woven or knitted with some stretch (e.g., cotton blends)

Additional $60 for all materials included at checkout.
If you prefer, you may bring your own materials — however, they must be approved by our instructor on the first day of class to ensure they are suitable for the course.

 Material Requirements:
  • Main Fabric: 1.5 meters of fabric. Recommended: mid-weight woven or knitted with some stretch (e.g., cotton blends)
  • Ribbing (Collar): 0.5 meters
