Lapu-Lapu Fundraiser Contest | Intro to Industrial Sewing + Tote Bag 🛍️

This hands-on workshop is designed for beginners with little to no experience using industrial sewing machines. Participants will learn the basics of machine operation, safety protocols, and foundational sewing techniques while working on a guided project to create their own tote bag. This workshop is part of a fundraising event to support the victims of Lapu Lapu Day. All proceeds will be donated to Support for Lapu Lapu Victims and Families- Vancouver Police Foundation
FREE Intro to Industrial Sewing Workshop
First Sunday of Every Month | 8–10 AM | BYO Materials/Project
Led by our founder Edmond Santelices, this hands-on workshop is designed for beginners with little to no experience using industrial sewing machines. Participants will learn the fundamentals of machine operation, essential safety protocols, and have time to practice at their own pace in a supportive, small-group setting.
Please bring your own fabric, and feel free to bring a personal project if you have one—you're more than welcome to work on it during the session. Threads will be provided, complimentary of the studio.
Designer Tote Bag Workshop | Date TBA
Prerequisite: Ages 18+ & Beginner Friendly sewing experience
In this hands-on workshop, you'll sew a professionally designed, fully lined tote bag using premium canvas or leather. Ideal for beginners or anyone looking to sharpen their sewing skills, this session covers essential techniques including construction, lining, strap attachment, and clean finishing.
Guided by Edmond Santelices, founder of ES Fashion Design Studio, you'll receive personalized instruction in a relaxed, supportive setting. By the end of the workshop, you'll walk away with a stylish, durable tote bag ready for everyday use.

Crewneck Sweatshirt Workshop | Date TBA
Prerequisite: Ages 18+ | Beginner - intermediate sewing experience.
Take your garment-making skills to the next level in this hands-on workshop where you'll construct a professionally finished crewneck sweatshirt using a refined studio pattern. Designed for sewists with basic sewing experience, this class covers techniques for working with stretch fabrics, assembling raglan or set-in sleeves, attaching ribbed neckbands, cuffs, and hems, and achieving a clean, tailored finish.
Taught by Edmond Santelices, founder of ES Fashion Design Studio, this intermediate-level workshop offers focused, small-group instruction and creative flexibility. Participants can choose from unisex sizing and a curated selection of high-quality knits and specialty fabrics.

Casual Linen Shirt Workshop | Date TBA
Prerequisite: Ages 18+ | intermediate sewing experience.
Learn to sew a beautifully constructed casual linen shirt in this intermediate-level workshop, designed for sewists ready to expand their garment-making skills. Using a professionally drafted pattern available in both men’s and women’s sizing, you'll work with breathable, high-quality linen to create a relaxed, stylish wardrobe staple.
This workshop covers key techniques such as sewing collars, plackets, sleeves, hems, and buttonholes, with a focus on clean finishing and fit adjustment. Taught by Edmond Santelices, founder of ES Fashion Design Studio, you'll receive hands-on guidance in a small group setting.

Bomber Jacket Workshop | Date TBA
Prerequisite: Ages 18+ | Advance sewing experience
Join us for an immersive, hands-on experience where you'll craft your own fully lined bomber jacket, available in regular fabric or leather. This 16-hour, 2-day intensive workshop is designed for experienced sewists looking to advance their skills in jacket construction, lining, zippers, ribbing, and optional leather handling.
Participants can choose between men's or women's sizing, with guidance on fitting and customization. Taught by Edmond Santelices, founder of ES Fashion Design Studio, this workshop is ideal for those ready to take on a bold, fashion-forward project.

Leather Biker Jacket Workshop | Client-Scheduled
Prerequisite: Ages 18+ | Advance sewing experience
Master the construction of a fully lined biker jacket in this private, one-on-one workshop led by Edmond Santelices, founder of ES Fashion Design Studio. Tailored to your fit and offered in both men's and women's sizing, this advanced-level course is ideal for experienced sewists ready to take on a bold, technically demanding project.

Rates range from $60–$100/hour, depending on the service. Available by appointment only.
